Combined Solar PV & EESS Qualification (5 Days)

The City & Guilds 2922-34 and 2923-34 Combined Solar PV & EESS Course has been developed for qualified electricians who are already working with Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) and require recognised industry qualifications.

This intensive 5-day programme combines both qualifications into a single course, enabling experienced installers to gain the knowledge, understanding and assessment preparation required to achieve:

  • City & Guilds 2922-34 Level 3 Award in the Installation and Maintenance of Small Scale Solar Photovoltaic Systems
  • City & Guilds 2923-34 Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Commissioning of Electrical Energy Storage Systems

The course covers the design, installation, inspection, testing and commissioning requirements for Solar PV and battery storage systems in accordance with current industry standards and best practice.

Importantly, these qualifications support compliance with the latest Electrotechnical Assessment Specification (EAS) requirements and contribute towards the industry’s Electricians Plus competency framework. Both qualifications are aligned with current MCS expectations for Solar PV and battery storage installations, helping electricians demonstrate the competence increasingly expected by certification bodies, customers and employers.
