BPEC EESS Battery Storage Course
You will need to bring with you evidence of your qualifications when you attend your training centre or you may not be able to continue your training.
To be eligible for this course you must meet one of the following requirements:
N/SVQ Installing Electrical Systems and Equipment Buildings, Structures and the Environment or Electrotechnical Technology and BS 7671: 2018 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition) qualification.
Or
Equivalent historical qualifications
Or
Current ECS Gold Card, JIB Electrician or Approved Electrician Card
Stand-alone technical certificates/vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) (non-competency based) are NOT acceptable.

This course aims to provide practising electricians with the skills and knowledge required to install small-scale electrical energy (battery) storage systems.
The course has been structured to meet the requirements of dedicated electrical energy storage systems (EESS) in accordance with the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the MCS Battery Standards MIS 3012.
We strongly recommend candidates undertake training in Solar PV before attending this course.
Upon arrival at the Centre, we will provide you with a BPEC Learning Manual. This is included in the cost of the course.
You may wish to purchase the following Code of Practice. This is not mandatory but you could find it helpful to your studies:
