This 2-day EV Charging course covers the specific and supplementary requirements related to the design, installation, and maintenance of electric vehicle (EV) supply equipment, and associated circuits, in domestic and small commercial settings.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING ENTRY REQUIREMENTS CAREFULLY.

You will need to bring with you evidence of your qualifications when you attend your training centre or you may not be able to continue your training.

IF BOOKING THE COURSE VIA TELEPHONE

To be eligible for this EV charging course you must meet one of the following requirements:

N/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (Buildings and Structures) plus industry-related CPD within the last 5 years (for example, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).

Or

Equivalent historical qualifications

Or

Current ECS Gold Card, JIB Electrician or Approved Electrician Card

Stand-alone technical certificates/vocationally related qualifications (VRQ) (non-competency based) are NOT acceptable.

To ensure you are eligible, if you wish to book this course online you must have one of the following:

Current ECS Gold Card for:

  • Installation Electrician
  • Maintenance Electrician
  • Domestic Electrician

Or

Any of the following qualifications plus 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification within the last 5 years:

  • C&G 5393 Electrotechnical in Dwellings
  • C&G 5357 Level 3 Electrotechnical (installation or maintenance
  • C&G 2357 Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing  Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment (buildings, structures and the environment)
  • C&G 2346 Level 3 Electrotechnical Experienced Worker Qualification
  • C&G 2347 Level 3 Electrotechnical in Dwellings Experienced Worker Qualification
