The City & Guilds 2392 Level 2 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification introduces the core principles of inspecting and testing electrical installations.
This course provides a solid foundation in both theoretical knowledge and practical application, enabling learners to understand how to safely carry out single-phase inspection and testing activities and accurately complete initial verification documentation in line with BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
Throughout the course, learners will develop confidence in interpreting results, identifying faults, and recording findings using industry-standard certification.
There are no formal qualification entry requirements for this course. However, learners must be 18 or over to enrol on the City & Guilds 2392-10 Fundamental Inspection and Testing course.
If you are new to the electrical industry, we strongly recommend completing an introductory course first, such as an Electrical Skills Workshop or a Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation. These courses provide the core knowledge of wiring practices and installation methods that will support your understanding of inspection and testing.
It is also beneficial to have completed a Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) course, as this will help you navigate the regulations effectively and apply them throughout the course.
