ico ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be practising electricians who have completed an apprenticeship/NVQ or technical diplomas to at least Level 3 (NVQ/apprenticeship level preferred but not required).
Practical on-site experience is advised, as the course does not include practical training.

If you are unemployed, self-employed or an employer looking to upskill your staff in electrical installation or green skills we have funding opportunities that can vastly reduce the cost of training with us and in some cases fully fund it*.

This comprehensive electrical qualification package covers C&G 2391-52 initial and periodic inspection & testing and also C&G 2382-22 Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671).

What's included?

Inspection and Testing Practical Skills Refresher

This 2-day course aims to enhance learners’ knowledge of the inspection and testing process in preparation for the 2391. Learners who undertake the 2391 are expected to have a good overall understanding of the inspection/testing process and be able to competently demonstrate the tests. This module enables learners to practice their inspection and testing techniques, under the supervision and guidance of their teacher to identify any areas for improvement and practice testing and filling out the relevant paperwork.

Inspection and Testing eLearning package

This comprehensive eLearning package contains step-by-step guides and instructions as well as video demonstrations.

Inspection and testing 2391-52

Learners build on their knowledge/skills in practical inspection and testing and learn to analyse/evaluate results. Learners will also understand the practices and procedures for periodic inspection and testing. Learners will apply their inspection and testing knowledge to existing installations, to evaluate if the installation is safe for continued service.

Requirements for Electrical Installations 2382-22

This qualification ensures you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulations on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems.

Free to learners

As with all Skills Bootcamps, the Inspection & Testing Plus Wiring Regulations Package – Skills Bootcamp is free to learners. 

However, based on the size of the business, employers may have to pay a small contribution as outlined below.

  • SME Contribution: £280 (ex vat)
  • Large Employer Contribution: £840 (ex vat)
